El cenote Ik Kil se conoce a menudo como el cenote de Chichen Itzá o el cenote sagrado.
Es un buen argumento para su promoción, pero es completamente falso porque ya hay dos cenotes en la zona arqueológica de Chichen Itzá y uno se llama realmente el Cenote Sagrado. ¡Pero no está permitido nadar en ellos!
Lo que sí es cierto es que el cenote Ik Kil se encuentra muy cerca de Chichen Itzá (5km) y por lo tanto es el lugar ideal para refrescarte después de tu visita al famoso sitio maya.
Es uno de los cenotes más bonitos de la Península de Yucatán, pero también uno de los más turísticos, lo cual es tanto una ventaja como una desventaja: hay más gente pero también está muy bien mantenido y con todas las facilidades que lo hacen accesible a toda la familia (restaurante, tienda, casillero, gran estacionamiento).
Cómo llegar desde Chichén Itzá: taxi (180 pesos ida y vuelta) o en colectivo (20 pesos)
Cómo llegar desde Valladolid: tomar la Carretera 180 (45 min); o en transporte público, autobús ADO (40 pesos) o colectivo (40 pesos) saliendo de la Calle 39.
Ir a Ik Kil con un tour: ¡es la mejor opción para no preocuparte por el transporte!
